# First Steps

Welcome to YETI Robotics! To get started with the team this is a landing page for everything you need to know day one about the team so that you can attend meetings. Follow these exact steps and in about an hour you will be fully ready to go!

<span style="text-decoration: underline;">DISCORD Setup</span>

Step 1: Get Discord downloaded onto your phone from the App store and get an invite link to the YETI Robotics Discord from a mentor.

Step 2: Once inside the Welcome channel, type in "?name FIRSTNAME LASTNAME" this needs to be your actual first and last name so that we can take your attendance!

Step 3: Add any ROLES you wish to receive notifications for in the Roles Channel

Step 4: Go to the Botspam Channel and type in "/signin" and enter the 4 digit code by the front door. Don't forget to log out using "/signout" when you exit every day. This is key to taking attendance at YETI.

You can read the entirety of the handbook at your leisure, but this first section has all of the four key requirements to get the most out of the program.
