L1 Robot Engineer

Responsibilities: 

 

 

 Design, help build, and maintain robot assemblies 

 

 

 Create CAD models and drawings using SolidWorks or OnShape 

 

 

 Create 3D printed parts 

 

 

 Select the correct material usage for parts and construction to minimize waste 

 

 

 Requirements: 

 

 

 Must meet fundraising, outreach, and attendance requirements 

 

 

 Must be able to create SOLIDWORKS drawings and DXF files for CNC 

 

 

 Must be able to read dial caliper/micrometer 

 

 

 Must demonstrate basic mastery of CAD skills through a modeling test 

 

 

 Comfortable with: 

 

 

 Creating drawings, .dxf files, and .stl files of necessary parts 

 

 

 Creating a bill of materials for subsytems 

 

 

 Importing COTs parts and mating them effectively in cad 

 

 

 Creating parts from a mastersketch
